21-Day Fast
I’m going to join Kasey from Walking Redeemed for a 21-Day Fast. A bit of Daniel style: fruits, veggies, whole grains, legumes, beans, nuts, and seeds, and lots and lots of water! If you would like to join us, c’mon! Let’s do this! Let’s put aside the desires of our flesh (desirable foods!) and put on the Armor of God. Let’s dig deeper in His Word, spend time in prayer, and be looking for revival in our lives. Let every bite of food we don’t take remind us that we don’t live on bread alone, but on the Word of God!

Kasey’s challenge for today is this:
“Be quiet. Speak only when necessary. Obviously, many of us have husbands and children to tend to and not talking at all isn’t an option. But consider how many times you talk needlessly. When instructing your children, be straightforward and clear, not using excessive chatter to convey your message. You might just find that where you tend to nag or lecture without realizing it, you now use the power of a smile or touch. Stay off the phone. This would even be a great time to pull back some on texting, FB, Twitter or whatever else captivates your attention, pulling you from that one vital connection that so easily gets pushed aside. I’m not suggesting we start neglecting the people He has placed in our lives, but that we prioritize. I think we’ll all be amazed by what we hear we when stop talking so much!“
