I am seriously still recovering from shock. Last night was pretty amazing. God’s hand is quite evident to me, even though I don’t know the extent of the outcome. In case you have no idea what I am talking about, my husband and me went and spoke with a producer about Greg’s music!
And not just any producer. He happens to be the lead guitarist for a very well known Christian band. *cough* Third Day *cough* Wow! In and of itself, just meeting him was pretty cool! He gave us a tour of their studio, listened to Greg play for probably close to an hour, and gave some great constructive criticism. It really appears that he was into what Greg had going, and really wanting to help us make a CD and get it out there! We ended up being there for about 2 hours, and then went out to dinner with the producer, his wife, and their children. No big deal, right?!

I’ve known all along that Greg is good, but hearing it from a professional will certainly boost your self confidence! We are really unsure of what God is doing right now, and where He would want to take Greg’s music. Greg is more level headed then me, and so, we are trying to be realistic in our goals. For now, we just want to get a CD made, and bring it to our community. If God would lead us to do more, than I pray that we would have the faith to follow Him!
Thank you again for all the prayers! There is so much that happened and was said last night, that I don’t even know where to start! It was really a blessing to be able to go and meet with the producer and his VP of the studio. They were extremely encouraging and really want us to follow where God is leading. Greg played the song he wrote for his sister, who was diagnosed with Breast Cancer last year. When he finished playing, he said “Can we pray for your sister right now?” Wow! That really just made an impression on me.
Greg played a song that he wrote at church recently, and when he played it for these guys, the one said “That is radio play!” What?!?! I’m sure I did a happy dance on the inside when he said that! What an encouragement!
So, with all of that said, please continue to pray that we would seek God and know where He is leading. If He calls us to step out in faith with Greg’s music, that we would do that. I know recording can get costly, and so, even now, I am praying that God will provide for us financial to cover the cost of recording and making CDs. And, I believe He will, if this is His desire for our family.
Thank you, once more, for the prayers. As things progress, (hopefully!) I will certainly keep you update. I appreciate the support of my online community here. You are all a blessing to us!
I would love to be friends!
